Tahiti, Fiji, Cook Islands, and Costa Rica Vacations

TAHITI VACATIONS
Tahiti is comprised of 118 islands located with 5 groupings---Society; Tuamotu; Marquesas; Austral & Gambier. Most visitors to Tahiti stay in the Society and Tuamoto areas. Tahiti is still very unspoiled. The second largest lagoon in the world is found on Rangiroa in the Tuamotus. Tahiti is a land of soaring mountain peaks, indescribable lagoons of blue-green water, lush green foliage and a myriad of flower colors.

Tahiti islands provide a wide range of destination choices for your vacation. From Bora Bora to Tahiti, the magic of the South Pacific prevails. The popular TV show, Survivor, brought the relatively remote Marquesas Islands to the lime light. These islands provide a perfect backdrop for exotic cruises. There are seven different cruise lines — each with its own charm.

FIJI VACATIONS
The best vacation beaches in Fiji are located in one area while rain forests and adventure trips are located in a different area. Diving and surfing are also found throughout different locations. Fiji is known as the ‘soft coral capitol of the world’.

The Fijians are extremely friendly, helpful people who love children. Consequently, many resorts have “kids clubs” supported by the local staff. On the other hand, there are also resorts where no children under 12 are allowed.

Fiji, like Tahiti & the Cook Islands lies south of the Equator so you have reversed seasons with Dec-Mar being the warmest and most humid time. Unlike Tahiti, weddings are legally recognized in Fiji and many Fiji weddings are performed on the beach at sunset.

COOK ISLANDS VACATIONS
Cook Islands vacation destination are increasing in popularity. The Cook Islands, located about half way between Tahiti & Fiji, are made up of 15 islands divided into 2 groups—Northern & Southern. The chain is located south of Hawaii and south of the Equator meaning the seasons are reverse from the US.

The 2 main tourist vacation destinations in the Cook Islands are Rarotonga & Aitutaki. For those really looking to get off the beaten path there are Aitu & Mangaia to consider.

The Cook Islands are very family friendly and accommodations range from motel style units with kitchens up to deluxe properties and even private villas.

Island weddings are legal in the Cook Islands---couples need to be there 3 full working days prior to the actual ceremony. Cook Island weddings and vow renewals create unforgettable memories.

COSTA RICA VACATIONS
Costa Rica is small Central American country about the size of West Virginia offering varying landscapes, wildlife, climates and adventure. Costa Rica is divided into 6 tourist regions:

  1. Caribbean coast—beaches, fishing, wildlife
  2. Northern mountains & lowlands—active volcano, hotsprings, canopy tours, cloud forest, suspension bridges, butterflies and hummingbirds
  3. So. Pacific coast—mostly untouched & pristine, wildlife, beaches, mountains, marine parks, waterfalls, etc.
  4. Central Pacific coast—golf, horseback riding, ATV tours, aerial tram, rafting, fishing, surfing, Manual Antonio National Park, etc.
  5. No. Pacific coast—(Guanacaste area)—beaches, diving, fishing, surfing, golf, etc.
  6. Central Valley(San José)—museums, volcanoes, rafting, aerial tram, and much, much more

Costa Rica is a very popular vacation destination. Its close proximity to the US and many English speaking residents make it a convenient vacation spot for US citizens.
